Our History

Veteran-Owned Small Business Serving St. Louis For 25 Years

Innovet Electric is an electrical contracting and HVAC-certified professional team in the St. Louis area. For over 25 years, our locally owned and operated company has provided home and business owners with the highest-quality service that never cuts corners.

This dedication stems from our work as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Charlie McCarty, president of Innovet Electric, is a Marine Corps and infantryman who found electrical work after he returned home from duty.

In 1997, McCarty formed Mac Power, a company that installed electrical systems in commercial facilities. Mac Power eventually merged with Extel Communications, a cell tower maintenance company that did work for local phone companies. Today we have expanded our services to include construction and residential heating and cooling.

McCarty advocates for the inclusion of service-disabled veterans in the St. Louis area. A number of our field technicians are veterans, and of that number, some are even combat-disabled. “One thing about a veteran is that they are disciplined, and we are proud to have them. When you need to have something done, you can depend on these men,” says McCarty.

Today, we are lucky to count the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Park Service, the museum under the Gateway Arch, and the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery administration building as some of our happy clients at Innovet Electric.
